A-OSH Expo 2015, which will be held at Gallagher Convention Centre from 12 to 14 May, emphasises the importance of appropriate and adequate risk assessments through its exhibitors and a comprehensive educational programme.

“Excitement is mounting as we enter the last couple of months before the show. We have a great selection of products and services from diverse suppliers in the traditional occupational health and safety arena. In addition, in line with our goal to emphasise the environmental management element of SHEQ, we have just signed up our first exhibitor in that sector,” says Joshua Low, A-OSH Expo Event Director at show organiser Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery.

Foundry Metal South Africa (FMSA) maximises scrap metal income and drastically reduces waste costs for national companies. The company manages ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal, environmental waste and general waste. On-site management of waste ensures that companies are released to concentrate on their core focus areas. The company also offers large scrap parcel evaluations, and redundant asset sales with the assistance of a team of reputable auctioneers. An SABS-approved on-site steel cutting service ensures that all company and industry safety regulations are met.

“We specialise in overall site management handling all forms of waste, ensuring that maximum rebates are achieved. We have taken best specific industry practice, best industry standards and national suppliers in various industries and turned them into our own FMSA product. FMSA thus always has the best ferrous and non-ferrous prices, the lowest waste costs, dedicated site management and Exco quality reporting that assists companies in taking the best financial and environmental decisions that form part of any growing company’s overall objectives,” says FMSA MD Trevor Vercellotti.

He explains that FMSA decided to exhibit at A-OSH Expo because it fits perfectly in their core market. “Awareness is probably our biggest goal. Management of scrap metal and waste generally don’t ring the Exco bells at any company, but when one considers that we are able to generate or save each branch within a larger organisation over one million Rands per annum, this then become a major financial factor to consider.

We will be bringing some before and after displays to show potential clients how we have benefited a number of national clients in terms of both cost savings and the overall aesthetics of each waste section.”
